learning objectives

The course aims at leading the students to acquire theoretical knowledge and technical training required to work as security professionals, and to develop the basic skills prior to being deployed on job sites as security agents.

Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to:

  • learn the history and the evolution of the private security industry

  • understand the legal aspects and the standards of behaviour

  • define the profession and the main duties

  • identify the types of employment available, and the roles and responsibilities of a security agent

  • acquire knowledge and skills necessary for the professional practice

  • Comprehensive First Aid and CPR techniques taught in an interactive environment

  • CPR level A (for adults)

  • Airway, breathing and circulation emergencies

Duration and Certification

Upon successful completion of 54 hours Theory and 16 hours First aid / CPR (in class) , the student is awarded a training certificate in private security guarding.

Registration is available online through our website or you can simply contact us.

Note: The running of any course is subject to sufficient number of registrations for that course.

It is recommended that registration and payment be received at least 5 business days prior to the start date of the course to secure a seat.

Montreal Elite Security is responsible for certification only. Licensing inquiries must be directed to the Bureau de la Sécurité Privée.

Please note that completing the course with Montreal Elite Security does not guarantee employment.(for online and in person courses)
